Key findings and trends emerging from this survey are often reflected in the annual State of the Word report , published on the project's public blogs, and can influence the direction and strategy of the WordPress project.
Simply put: This survey helps those who create WordPress learn more about how the software is used and by whom. The survey also helps WordPress open source project managers learn more about the experiences of our contributors.

As with last year, other languages offered include French , German , Spanish , and Japanese . These are the five most used languages besides English, based on the number of downloads of the WordPress phone number library software. More may be added in 2022.
Data collection is carried out in full compliance with the WordPress.org privacy policy : all data will be anonymized and will not be associated with IP addresses or email addresses.
The survey is open until the end of 2021, and the results will be published later on the WordPress.org blog. Next year, the survey will have a new format that will make the most of your time.
2020 Survey Results
The 2020 survey received over 17,000 responses, the highest volume in four years and three times the previous year. The first year of the survey (2015) saw over 50,000 responses. Given the reach and distribution of WordPress, we have not yet reached a significant number of participants. As you participate in the 2021 survey, please consider sharing the link on social media with colleagues and friends who use WordPress. Getting feedback from more people using WordPress will strengthen our project.
