Once the plugin is activated, go to Pages > All or Posts > All , depending on the type of content you want to add meta tags to. Then, click Edit on the desired content, then find the Yoast SEO column at the bottom of the screen. Next, you can fill in the meta data in the available columns.

Ideally, a meta description is a short paragraph that explains what your content is loan database about and encourages users to click on the link to your page. So, make sure your meta description is unique, interesting, and intriguing. Once you are happy with the results, don't forget to click Update , or Publish if the content is not yet published.

Method 2: Without Plugin
You can also add meta tags manually without using a plugin. The method is not difficult, but usually this tag will disappear if the site name is changed. In addition, this method will add meta tags to the entire site and not only apply to each post or page.
